I'll be taking suggestions on better thread titles for this one. :thumb:
Or better yet, I may just merge it with one of dozens of old source code dreaming threads we already have.

Just before I read the second line I thought a good title would be "Another T1/2 source code fanasy thread" :D

Good lord, the thread title is awful. Here's a a few more believable ones:
"Looking Glass Studios may one day reform."
or
"Randy Smith and Stephen Spielberg may possibly be working on Thief4."
or
"Purah may release 32 mission T2 FM pack this week!"
Seriously, WTF, how do you get from "I made an inquiry to Eidos" to "Eidos may release the source code." And here I was getting all excited.:(

Exactly. I opened the thread expecting some sort of official announcement.
"I made an inquiry to Eidos about T1/2 Sourcecode" would have been better.

Change the thread title, please.
Digital Nightfall on 7/3/2008 at 16:54
I think that will do.

Interesting, but I certainly won't be one to hold my breath.
Still, wouldn't that be an amazing occurrence? I'm pretty sure I'd actually buy a cake for the occasion. And perhaps a silly hat to wear.

With all the hubbub about source code, isn't it possible to extract it from the game itself? I mean, it has to be all there, it should be feasible, unless I'm an idiot and don't know what I'm talking about.
BrokenArts on 7/3/2008 at 17:59
Don't you think they would of done that by now.
Digital Nightfall on 7/3/2008 at 17:59
Analogy...
Getting the source code out of the game would be like trying to extract the original wheat grains from the flour inside a baked loaf of bread.
