At the end of the ocean lab level, I ran past Walton mainly because I couldn't figure how I would attack him. I made it out alright. How does this affect the game? Will I have to face him later, or will he appear at the wrong moment and take me out?

You will see him again. And while I don't want to spoil things for you, I will say this: He's not the sort of guy to shoot one in the back. He loves to gloat.

If you don't want to deal with him in the Ocean Lab, then just place a LAM very near to where he appears (on the tractor/driller thing with the Karkians hiding behind it) before you go down to the lab. You'll see a screen flash when you return up the elevator, which means that he's toast. <IMG SRC="thumb.gif" border="0">

Running from Simons in the sub base isn't near as fun as killing him.
One of my most favorite things in DX is seeing how many ways I can waste that guy.

Close, it's the place right after that one. He's outdoors, just a little below where Jock drops you off. Next to the *sinister cackle* 'bots. ;)

What's the point of EMP grenades anyway? LAMs always work better.
