This is a very big loss for sure. :( I didn't know him personally, but I played his missions and enjoyed them so much.
At least I was able to tell him this. I'm so glad I did.
Rest in peace, Bryan. I will never forget you and your spirit will always stay around through your missions.

Oh no, so suddenly, that's unbelievable. :(
Me too didn't know him personally but contacted him a year ago because of the translation of A Short Night's Work.
He agreed to and mentioned that he was stationed in Germany serving in the US Army for 18 months where he enjoyed German beer and wine ... his answer was nicely written. :(
My condolences to his loved ones.

Such unexpected and tragic news! Rest in peace, bbb! My condolences to all who was close to him.
Why is it especially heartbreaking to see someone pass from this community? Because, just like in case of many of you guys, playing Thief, creating Thief missions, and watching other people playing Thief is the second best thing in many of our lives, and the whole Thief universe, the Thief Community is a very great safe haven and a getaway from real world. Our second family in a way.
I remember one time, when I first played Augustine's Revenge by bbb. It was saturday night, I was on sick leave (but feeling not THAT bad), and I incredibly enjoyed the fact that the city and places to explore in that mission was nearly endless, and the gameplay was very fluid. I always enjoyed playing his other missions as well, since he was especially great at creating extended, fun levels.
And also, I played a Short Night's Work on Christmas (second) Eve, 2017, and it's such a great memory playing such a quality, extended level in a cozy environment while there's snow out there.
I just wanted to share my nice memories of this great guy.
Let you explore forever, wherever you may wish! Rest in peace, bbb!
