Sounds about right with the direction SR has been going. Looked a lot like the SR 3 engine (which would be quite likely with that announced date), so PC gamers should have a fun time.

It's basically a DLC pack that got turned into a full-blown game, so that's pretty much the SR3 engine with maybe a few tweaks and enhancements.

They could make it out of cardboard and duct tape and I'd still throw my money at it. I played it a while ago, thought I finished, then I fired it up out of boredom last weekend only to discover I wasn't even half way through. Then I finished it, and fuck me, it was batshit awesome. Seriously, the only thing it's missing is Sasha Grey's B-cups on screen.

And it certainly feels like it from a trailer. I still hope, Volition will be able to pull something decent - would be great to see a game kind-of-like SR3, but with much less filler content. Yes - I'd really like to see a SR4 having decent storyline, where I don't have to do stupid stuff like "Escort" activities or "Trafficking". Grr...
but then - Deep Silver is a publisher for it. They seem to have either really bad luck for co-publishing and/or bad QA. I liked Risen... but Risen 2, Stalker: Clear Sky, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, Earth 2160, Dead Island - a majority of my experience with their games was rather disappointing.

I could never get into SR3, i mean it was delightfully crazy and all, but the openword just felt like cartoon cutouts, there was no sense of "place".
