Good luck. I haven't managed to play through the intro of SR2, despite spending hours patching/tweaking it. It's easily the shittiest game ever released on PC. Shame, really, as the 360 version is great.

I'd heard that, so I skipped the PC and went straight for the 360 version. I wish I had did that with the Sims 3 Starter Pack (the game my daughter wanted for her birthday)--after three days of utter torture trying to get the fucking thing to install, since it forces an online installation with a full 1 gig re-download of the install (that never quite gets installed) through EA's infuriating and cock-licking-nun-fucking-monkey-shit-twat-bag-spawn-of-Satan's-hot-balls Origin service, through which it seems that only a miracle from God can actually get to work, I took the three disks outside and shot them. Twice. I bought her the XBox version today.
Anyway, just taking a small break. So far, I'm enjoying the hell out of this. Now, back to the fun!

The game has experienced 4 YEARS worth of patches (which weigh in at 1GB+ altogether). Of course a Steam-like service will force you to update to the latest version. Go stand in the queue where they're handing out common sense, because you clearly lack it.

As I said in my post, the fact that there's a gigs worth of patches to download is not the issue, it's that it won't finish downloading--except one time when it came back that the file was broken.
But thanks for pointing out that I lack common sense in the matter, while I'm losing my mind because my daughter's birthday present (the only one she wanted for her 18th birthday) won't work due to a shitty online service. Bravo for you for being Mister Smarty Dick in pointing out my deficiencies.
I'll just point out that you're a cunt.

I'm not surprised that EvaUnit's definition of "common sense" is knowing some arcane trivia like how much a certain game has been patched since it's release. I get the feeling that the only way he ever gets to feel smart is when he's scolding people for not knowing the same obscure pieces of info that he's picked up from gamingforums.

Every reply of Eva's I've seen recently, he's unnecessarily being a huge penis.
He reminds me of DTS / Ultron over on Quake3World. Completely incapable of reasonable social discourse.

Well you know if I looked like Baba Booey and a pear had a baby and then peed on it I'd be pretty grumpy too.

Picked it up.
I'm having a wonderful time. The movement is straight out of prototype, with powers that feel like infamous, and a complete and total indifference to anything other then the rule of cool and the rule of funny.
In the prologue, you climb a nuclear missile while Aerosmith's "Don't wanna miss a thing" plays and the squad eulogizes you since you're 'sacrificing' yourself to save the world. It's that kind of game.
Brutally ripping into other games too. They're take on Mass Effect's shipboard romances, for example.
It doesn't give a shit how ridiculous it is, and it just aims to be funny and/or fun. Manages to be both.

So who wants to co-op this bitch?

Personally I thought that it was hilarious when it ripped on the "king" part of Fable 3.

Man, this shit's fourty queen's moneys on Steam, what the fuck? Before this it was Metro: Last Light, and to make matters worse on that one they're also charging another four quid for the "Ranger Mode DLC." Four quid. For a difficulty setting.
