Man, this shit's fourty queen's moneys on Steam, what the fuck? Before this it was Metro: Last Light, and to make matters worse on that one they're also charging another four quid for the "Ranger Mode DLC." Four quid. For a difficulty setting.
Yes, regional pricing is bullshit we can all agree, but Steam isn't the only shop in town. You can get a Steam key for a good price on Greenmangaming or Brazilian e-tailer Nuuvem.

It's not even a regional price issue, I've gotten used to that over the years, but by this point I'd adjusted to seeing PC games at £30-35 on Steam or £25-30 on Amazon and the like. And now SR4 and Metro LL seem to be pushing the prices up again, and in both cases they're a cool £40 all across the board - Steam, Amazon, GMG, so on. I normally use find-game.co.uk to look for deals, but that one doesn't seem to have full data yet.
Nuuvem does have it for considerably cheaper, thanks, but I think it may be localised. Either way, I'm comfy to wait for this one to drop in price, but come "next gen" it may end up being the rule.

Weird, 40 pounds (i.e. 60 USD) has been the norm for game pricing here in the states since the Xbox 360 was released.

Doubly weird since Saints IV and Metro:LL both launched at 50 yankee dollars on PC.

Yeah, it seems strange they'd boost the prices on those in the UK while charging less than most new AAA games here.
