JIS, as you may know, is one of the more talented Japanese mission designers. He has done some unusual and difficult missions, of which Elevator is significant. JIS supposedly retired from Dromed a few years ago. Nevertheless, he has just sent me three missions, including a brand new mission, F2, no relationship at all to F. I don't know if this means he is back in business or just cleaning house. Communication with JIS is a real problem unless you speak Japanese (I don't). The other two missions are Elevator V2 (for Thief Gold) and Hammer and Garret FINAL. The latter two are ready to go and will be announced shortly. But this post is about F2.
F2 (for Thief 2) is a large key and lock hunt mission that has a couple of problems: There are no objectives, and it does not end. It should end when you enter a space ship. JIS tells me that he had lost the mission due to a hard disk crash, found a version on another computer, but did not "set it up" so it won't end, whatever that means.
In F2, Garrett is invulnerable and armed with a BJ, 1000 broadheads, and 1000 speed potions (for traversing the large map). With the invulnerability there is not much challenge in the game play other than running around to find three keys. The map is fairly good but a little empty.
I do not know dromed. I am wondering if someone here would be interested in doing a little work on this mission. As a minimum, it could use an objective and a proper ending. There are also possibilities for improving game play that we could discuss. If anyone is interested, I will seek JIS' permission.
There is a precedent. Some time ago, Vlad Midnight and I collaborated, he on dromed and I on testing, to finish Mine Shock. That worked out pretty well, and JIS was happy with the results.
So, if you are a JIS fan, and you understand his methods, you may want to help finish this one. Please let me know if you are interested. Post here, or send me a PM or an e-mail.
Vlad Midnight, if you read this, I tried to e-mail you but got no response....

This wouldn´t have happened back in 1976.
Sad world, prude civilization, wall street.

Back in 1976 there was no internet, forums or PC games. :p
It's not a matter of being a prude or sad world, it's just simply that picture was a clear violation of forum rules. Nothing more.
