I can't lockpick my way into Saryoni's room, where do I find the key?
Ta !
EDIT....It keeps telling me the chances of picking the lock are zero.

Is this for the main quest, or are you just thieving around? After you rise to a certain rank in the Temple, you are instructed to see Saryoni, and the key is provided. Since I am a good son of the Temple, I already had access to his room before reaching that part of the main quest so I am not certain how it is handled if you are not in the Temple. If the contact person outside High Fane doesn’t provide you will a key, perhaps you are intended to use the ‘secret entrance’ from the Hall of Wisdom. It is locked as well, but it may be pickable.

It's part of the main quest. Saryoni has asked to see me after I've been named Neverine. I've not really been involved with any of the Temple quests.

Cyrano's right, the contact (Danso Indules) doesn't give you a key, but she will tell you how to get in via the secret entrance, the idea being that this is easier since there are no Ordinators on guard. If you can't lockpick this one either, and you're playing the PC version, then you can cheat using the console. Open console using the ~ key, then mouse click on the door you want to unlock. You should see the door's object id appear at the top of the console window. Type in "unlock" and then close the console and enter :)
If you're on XBox, I dunno....unless you want to go through the laborious process of joining the Temple and working your way up until someone gives the key, then you'll just have to raise your lockpicking skills and get some good lockpicks. I don't know off the top of my head where you can get training in this, but others might....
Hope this helps!
P.S. Stupidly enough, AFTER you've picked the lock successfully and talked to Saryoni, he then gives you a key to his door

Thanks Jordana, I did eventually get in via an unhinging scroll {magics not my strong point} and was slightly perplexed when Saryoni give me a key to the door I'd spent ages trying to get through! :grr:
But that's a useful tip about the console, cheers! :)
