Yeah, the new haunts are pretty tough on that one.
For some reason on scary missions I have the urge to go on a rampage...

I hate my resistance to fear...
I've played all of the ones mentioned, and not a lick of fear...
oh come on... If you didn't at least jump during Deceptive Perceptions, or one part in particular in Profane Ascension then you're a robot.
I've been playing around with the idea for starting a horror fm contest. I wanted the deadline to be the week before halloween and have the missions released the night before but the water contest interrupted it. Maybe next year. I'll have to see how many people are interested first.

Jumping, or being startled isn't really the same as fear

Cathedral Of The Damend is an often overlooked gem of a mission.

ditto on that one, i just want to kill all the zombies and haunts for the pure SPORT of it! im working on an FM where the main objective is to hunt down undead and kill them w/o being spotted. that and the "Room of 1000 Frightened Servants" :ebil:

it was my first FM, too! :cheeky: i was like ""
they need to make a T2 version of the Cradle, i think that would be cool.

I second Deceptive Perception (a couple minutes of terror) and Dyer's Eve (this one seems a little overlooked; pity). I'd also like to add Shunned, The Inverted Manse and Equilibrium (Keepers are ten times scarier than undead).

for a while, yeah. then you kinda get used to working around them. but there's always that creepy "is... is someone there?" feeling you get when you first start out. i just got through playing it again and it STILL has that effect on me.
though it's not as heart-stopping as playing the hidden for HL2. oh god, i've nearly shat my SHIRT sometimes in that game.
which reminds me: equilibrium is probably the only mission so far where i make extensive use of the note page. the main puzzle is a pain in the ass.

That is possibly the best idea for a contest I've heard yet. I would definitely love to take part in a horror contest. Having enough free time to do so, that's a different matter....
Ooo, P.S. I have a nasty little fan mission surprise for you all coming soon...

Newest and one of the scariest one:
"What lies below" from water contest!

Great. So I have one interested person. Now I need probably at least 4-5 more...
