Agreed, mostly.

However, reading his interview, I'd put his mod in the rape or torture game category rather than saying he does it just for the controversy. School shootings are pretty iconic of a form of teenage social catharsis, and IMO that's that basic drive he's aiming for. At the end of the day if you like this type of thing it's not because of the game, but because of the shots of catecholamines that happen when for once you're giving free reign to your sadistic desires.

Basically he seems to be a "nice" clever sicko who's too imbalanced and immature to aim his catharsis at something higher than the basic drive level. Either that or he's just trollin' everyone.
Still better than writing furry guro fanfic on your livejournal though.

There's people saying the obvious, that it was just another troll mod out of many others. Someone said it was a bad move on part of the ModDb guys.

Moral guardians like Fox News and Jack Thompson are always looking for any excuse to point at how evil and violent gamers are and how video games destroy children and should be banned. They're not going to fucking care if a game is a 'mod'- they don't even know what that means. They'll just assume that it was made by a professional company to further the breakdown of society.

I'm not sure that giving them attention by acquiescing to their 'demands' is establishing a good trend. I agree that the mod doesn't paint gamers in a good light, but telling the Jack Thompson types that we'll do what they ask is alarming at best.
