As a preorderer (is that a word?) I've been having a blast with it. Get downloading, Matthew, you should have a mail with a link.
The rest of you shoot-em-up fans, (
http://www.charliesgames.com/wordpress/?page_id=21) get it come Friday. Yes, I linked it again.
p.s. currently sitting as #44 in top all time leaderboard (standard game) as "Ulukai". Probably not for long. Anyone else got a profile set up?

Officially released, and sporting a shiny* new web site:
(
http://www.scoregasm-game.com/)
Includes demos for all three platforms, samples for the soundtrack (which is also for sale), a "Mini Bullet Candy" browser game, video trailer history, and PDF play guide.
I like how the list of game features includes "Achievements that you actually have to achieve!" :) (and indeed I don't have any achievements to my name thus far).
Quote:
Here's a huge list of things you can find in Scoregasm!
• 43 varied levels to find in the main game
• Pick up and play gameplay, start where you last finished!
• Multiple routes, explore the galaxy to unlock new levels!
• 43 Challenge levels to unlock, one for each main stage
• Over 100 different enemies to find and kill
• Bestiary - know your enemy
• Achievements that you actually have to achieve!
• Secret Expert Galaxy
• 86 Combo Medals, one in each level!
• 7 endings - find all the biscuits and a £5 note!
• Fancy Pants 3D graphics
• Amazing Soundtrack by John Marwin!
• Online Scores for every game mode and challenge game!
• Tag-able online profiles
• Custom online user/friend groups
• Date range searching - great for competitions!
• Coleslaw, cheese, flaming cauliflowers etc.
• Joystick/Control pad support
• Runs on Mac OS X, Windows AND Linux!
• Big fun, and lots of it!
(Frankly I don't know how he refrained from using the word "super" in that list. I've noticed he likes that word a lot :)
(*) Albeit more than a little tarnished by its broken CSS :/ You'll need to keep your fonts at the default sizes, or you won't be able to read the damned thing. I'll have to email him about that...

Well I got to level 41 of Mini Bullet Candy, but then Firefox crashed.

I've only played the final version once but really enjoyed it so far. I'm as terrible at it as I am at all shooting games, though the close combat pulse attack really helps me in that regard. Feels a little weird to be shooting myself on stage 3A though! :p

Got this in the recent Indie Royale bundle. Highly recommended

Yes indeed! I see I never followed up after getting the full version, but the retail game is exactly what I'd hoped for, with more of everything.
That's heaps more unique levels and enemy types, "challenge" level variants, "expert mode", and good replay enjoyment in general. I think Scoregasm offers really good bang for the buck (exceptional, if you're buying via the Indie Royale Bundle).
I've unlocked all the levels, but haven't yet completed the final level on the hard track. I think I got distracted by GOG releasing LBA :)
Definitely a winner, and one which is going to stay on the hard drive.

Until the 2nd of January you can get Scoregasm for whatever price you like >= $1

I thought the game was a bargain at it's full retail price, so this is seriously good value for money.
