how do i take screenshots from t1 and t2 .avi files? PrintScreen button doesnt quite work, when i paste it to adobe photoshop its entirely black, when i paste it to MS Paint it seems okay but actually does weird things(hard to explain, you need to try it yourself).
so, how do i printscreen avi files?

Take screenshots by pressing whatever button you have the screenshot key bound to in thief. (I use 8 on the numpad)
The screenshots will then be found in your thief directory as "dump000.pcx"
Or "dump001.pcx" and so on and so forth.
Open them in photoshop (up the brightness/contrast so we can see them) then save the shot as a jpeg.
I use imageshack to host my screens. Snapfish works well also...

so there is no way to take screenshots directly from the avi files on CD?

sorry, but its all wrong. it doesnt work with the cutscenes. it only works when playing a level.

See if you can get them to open in (

It should also work if you disable acceleration in Media Player - there's a slider in the Options screen -> Performance tab IIRC.

...or use the screenshot tool in PowerDVD or import the file in Windows Movie Maker and save your very favourite frame...:erg:
