I found it and just emailed it to you, Mike! :cheeky:
You originally sent it to me to look at for the complexity problem I think, and I told you you just had too complex terrain.... good luck cleaning that up!

Many, many hours I spent with a friend designing and creating a huge mansion as part of a three mission campaign. We nearly finished the construction of the first level, it just needed all the ‘stuff’ putting in it (including the scripting). I still have the .MIS file on my hard drive

It's strange that guys (like for example; '
Metalhead') would just up and disappear, pwuffft ! gone !
And in June 2002 - that's right at the peak of Thief 2 fever !
How can you love the game one day, love it enough to create content in Dromed, and then one day just decide to NEVER come back, not once in almost 10 years ?
There must be some kind of tragedy behind this story. Probably something bad. He was a bus driver in Phoenix after all. Buses crash, drivers get stabbed and shot.
I hope not, but 10 years without a visit probably means personal tragedy.
I have returned.
For a time at least. I'm still getting over the shock that anyone -at all- even remembers me, let alone give's a rat's patoot, 10 years later. To see that the Thief community is still producing fan missions is kinda amazing. Anyways, no great tragedy has befallen me. Trying to remember just what bumped me off the wagon back then. I think I got a new car around then and kinda switched obsessions. And after that, I never in a bajllion years would have thought that anyone would still be playing my lil ol' FM's years down the road. It's inspired me to reinstall the Thief games at lest. Now I've just gotta figure out how to use fan missions again. The circle is now complete, the master has become the n00b LOL

Something new to report regarding one of our missing authors, Metalhead.
From several Thief sources I've gathered some important information (first/surname, year of birth, location) regarding him, and searching the web with it brought me to these sites:
(
http://www.mylife.com/people-search/)
(
http://www.intelius.com/)
I found profiles on Intelius and Mylife that matches all info of him. (Sur)name is correct, age as well, and this person lived in one of the cities mentioned in his (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/member.php?u=8629) profile (Phoenix, Arizona).
Problem is that I need registration to view his full profile and get his email.
Now my question is: is there someone around who has an account for one of the above sites, or a similar people-search site ?
If so then please let me know. It would be great to get in touch with a famous dromedder from the old days :).
Here I am :cheeky:
I've updated my contact info. Wow, ICQ & pangeatech.com. I've been thru several ISP's and computers since those days! I'm sorry to say that anything I may have been planning or working on is effectively cancelled. I will recheck my archives but I don't think anything has survived this far. The last time I closed DromEd, a terabyte hardrive in a home computer was still science fiction. Tho I have reinstalled the Thief games and will take a fresh look at my old FM's... if I can remember how that is.

Welcome back! It's always great to see an author return. For playing FMs, check the (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48202) FAQ for basic info on how to install FMs and the (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133946) Technical FAQ for more, well, technical stuff if you need it. If that doesn't do it, there are plenty of threads discussing every conceivable issue you might have. Just do a search in the technical forum and ask for some help if you need it. Again, welcome back!

@ Metalhead - What drove you crazy enough to move to Whidbey Island?
Nightwalker on 9/9/2012 at 14:28
It's great to see you back at TTLG, Metalhead! No, you've never been forgotten and your missions have been played and replayed by many, many taffers, including me! :)
SlyFoxx on 9/9/2012 at 16:47
Hell yeah we remember. We've been here over 10 years. We're kinda mental like that. Welcome back taffer.

Welcome back, Metalhead :thumb: It's great seeing you around again.
I enjoyed playing your old FMs "Bloodsport" and "Dyers' Eve"; especially the latter one became quite an undead classic. Too bad no files of the next missions in the series survived. But I guess we should be thankfull if something can still be recovered after such a long period.
Enjoy re-playing the Thief games. And in case you like to try out some of the more recent FMs afterwards, don't hesitate to ask for help or recommendations.
