Does anyone have the thief 2 copy of pczone - not the review, but a preview and the unwelcome guest demo on the coverdisk?
I was looking for this copy to share the article as if I remember it's quite interesting. It seems like it's been thrown away though :-/ I dunno if I still have the coverdisk lying around somewhere either. I wonder if the two got separated.
It will either be a late 1999 issue or an early 2000 one.
Also I had the pc zone copy with the thief: the dark project review, but that appears to have been thrown away too :-/
The only one of not I seem to have. I have a pc gamer preview of thief 2, but it's only a 2 page article and nowhere near as extensive as the pc zone one.
I can scan it if anyone wants but it's not too exciting, though it does mention multiplayer. It's the gta2 review/cover issue.
Anyway, if anyone has any thief preview / reviews from pc zone or pc gamer they could scan (particularly the one I mentioned) it would be nice to see them again :)
I don't think scans should be an issue, since the magazines are well over 10 years old ;)
That unwelcome guest cover disk demo was my first experience of thief - I could not get the thief gold demo to work on my computer, it would just crash to desktop.
I never had a magazine issue that had a thief 1 demo before gold (cos i didn't buy them really that often) and we didn't have internet then so yes that coverdisk demo was the first time i played thief and i was truelly amazed - that level is huge and inspiring :)

That would be cool. If it is indeed PCZone, then that will really narrow a search down.:thumb: This would be the UK edition, too, wouldn't it?

Yes it is definately pc zone and the uk edition yes. I remember it as clear as day. It has a big cool pic of garret on the front with a gas arrow. It's weird cos normally they only feature things on the cover if they are to be reviewed that issue hehe.
I realise you can get the reviews on the pc zone site but you can't get this preview - and also if anyone has proper scans of the reviews that would be nice too, because the online versions cut out the pics and the subsections and stuff and scans are much nicer :D

Excellent! Being in the USA, I won't be of much help. I'm sitting outside the local used-book store right now, and they have a humble collection of old PC and gaming mags, but slim chance of any UK editions.:(
But some taffer might have it, even if it's buried in a box.
