I tried a search, honest. Nothing popped out at me.
Resized a 3X6 secret door to 4X4. Dromed monologue says - WARNING: ObjTxtReplace can't load texture newmetal/brgrate
Still seeing the big O's on the door. 'Sup with that?
Random_Taffer on 6/12/2016 at 05:22
Try fam/newmetal/brgate
Also, glad to see you back in the saddle, sir.

Yep, Random_Taffer is correct. You need the full path from the root folder. I'm also glad to see you back in the game.

I think it's better to copy that texture in obj/txt16. You can get a locked resource warning if you already used the texture.
so the path would be
obj/txt16/brgate

Unna is correct, you should copy the texture from its family to obj/txt16 and refer to it there.

It's not an "O", it's a "0" ;)
In my FMs I sometimes used textures from the /fam folder for objects and it never posed any problem. :erg:

That's why I wrote this

Many
locked resource warnings (10?) can cause a hard crash. This happened to me.
Yandros on 6/12/2016 at 12:52
Worse than that, it can also cause that texture to get removed from your palette, which forces all instances of it on terrain to become Jorge. And if you don't catch it at the time and save, you then get to go back through your mission reapplying that texture everywhere it's supposed to be. All that can be prevented just by copying the texture over to obj/txt16 and referring to it there instead.

Thanks. Texture doesn't line up properly though so I'll have to try something else.
EDIT: Just used a 4X4 slidy and edited it to rotatating instead of translating.
Man 6 years of having no Thief makes you forget even the easy stuff.
R Soul on 7/12/2016 at 18:38
Some things from 6 years ago are worth forgetting, like the brush limit, texture palettes, the max texture size of 256 x 256, and how long it used to take to relight in objcast mode.
