how do you access the secret mission after you finish the game?
SlyFoxx on 1/2/2009 at 20:31
Do you mean the Thief Gold Blooper mission?
To do that open your USER.CFG file with notepad.
Look for...
;Blooper Mission
;starting_mission 16
Remove the semicolon in front of starting and save.
Begin a new game.
Put it back when you are done. You can start any mission this way.
To give yourself some quick cash add the following line anywhere to the user.cfg...
cash_bonus ####
Put a ; or a / in front of that line to deactivate it.

Can't believe I never knew about this tip, I always used dromed to play a particular mission...
Thanks !

I opened the file USER.CFG and found this [mission_map 1,2,3,4,5,15,6,7,16,9,17,10,11,12,13,14,18]. What now?

Add the line:
starting_mission 16
Save, and run the game as usual, skipping the training.
When you are done playing the Blooper Reel, reopen the file and add a semicolon ; or slash / at the beginning of the line to disable it, and save, thus:
;starting_mission 16
or
/starting_mission 16
Actually according to an faq I got from ttlg a long time ago, mission 18 is a secret mission. I had not noticed that until reading this thread brought back the memory. I still have it on my hd. I may have to check it out.:thumb:

Yes, the blooper mission files are labeled 18, and 16 is the label for the Mage Towers' files, but 16 is the number for the User.cfg file to play the hidden mission. I don't know where in the software it switches, and for that matter, I don't know what the starting mission number for the Mage Towers would be in this case.:thumb:

Odd. I was about to mention myself that I could have sworn the mission was "18" and not "16".... That's odd, but then again their numbering system is odd anyway.
How many times can you say odd?:p
If you don't want to waste all that time doing that stuff, you could just load the mission in dromed, it would be quicker.

Unless DromEd isn't installed, but then, everybody who can install DromEd should, heh heh.
