Hey, how about this ?
You know about all of those secrets in T1 and T2, and maybe T3 which were NEVER uncovered, at all ?
The Alarus extension, the recording of the Horn of Quintus, etc...
Thief 4 should uncover them !!!! Find 'em out !!!
Maybe they could put a cult of strange people to ''illegally'' go into the Bonehoard and rob it or make more tombs. Maybe they could be a searching for something but it's in the alarus extension that was not needed so many years back..but NOW they need it and they go search the bonehoard...Interesting...:o:weird:
We could uncover secret catacombs beneath the Catherdral in the last level of T2...And find some more disturbing things and inventions by the infamous Karras...
Or some dude goes in to Ramirez's grounds and buys his old mansion, and makes secret caves where Ramirez's Burricks were, which lead to an rich, mining operation...
Or the Cradle gets bought again by some ignorant new guy from Audale, a rich man as well, and he doesn't know what he's done and the puppets infest Old quarter...
Or the lost city, decendants of the people who once lived there come to claim
the lost city from the remaining Mechanists who didn't leave or stop being mechanists when the Karras died. Dian, the pagan pristess who has an operative there gets the news...and here come Garrett to the rescue...again.
But some of those secrets weren't even imagined, so most of those are Ideas. But I myself did think about the somehow descendants of the long ago inhabitants of the Lost city, and what would happen to Ramairez's grounds after he died.
So what do you guys think ? Alarus extension worth putting into Thief 4 ?
Or any of the other Ideas ? :idea::confused::idea:

I'm not really a fan of any of these ideas. Personally, I think you're pretty far off the mark on ALL of them.
I'll comment on one: regarding an 'infestation' of puppets - there's a limited number of them. One puppet for each patient/prisoner of the Cradle; given that the Cradle is the actual 'haunt', why would there be an infestation outside of the building proper?
I won't touch the rest.

You know, any of your Ideas are very welcome. But Come on , The Alarus Extension finaly discovered by Garrett would be Awesome.

These are great ideas which would really add to the game and give us old taffers some nice revisiting moments while avoiding being bland repeats.

Sorry dude but a swing and a miss on these ones. The recording of the horn of Quintas just isn't enough to go on for a whole mission, though maybe some references in Alarus would be good. Assassins was a great mission but I'd hardly consider it worthy or revisiting, there are just better things for EM to do. The Cradle was awesome however it was built as a one time shot, to try to reuse it as a plot element would decrease its worth. As for the Lost City, I wouldn't mind something which gave us some more backstory but part of their mystique is that the are a dead culture. Changing that would just wreck their culture.

It's found in the Wieldstrom Museum. The song the Horn of Quintus plays was recorded with a piano accompaniment on a Mechanist Viktrola.

After Garrett sold it for a lot of money to get his first set of lockpicks, who became the owner or taffer that recorded it during the Metal Age with the piano, and how did that recording, but not the Horn get into Wieldstrom? Did the Quintus family reacquire it? Are they the one's who donated the recording to the Museum?
But most intriguing of all, who made it? What's the story behind it, and why did it become legendary? Is this the only self-playing musical instrument? And it's nice to see something magical that isn't harmful in any way known, but peaceful.
