But the hammers have representive art.
Even if it is just hammers in the churches.
There are also paintings showing the builder battling the trickster(open to interpretation)
This is one of a number of reasons I don't think the Allah analogue works.
All representative art is forbidden in Islam to prevent idolatry
Gynophobia seems to be a feature of all 3 religions of the book.
So again I think the the christian church of mediaeval times has the closest analogue.
@ Platinumoxicity not gonna mention this again, it's not important;)
by the way, I strongly doubt the sanity of anyone who believes in an interventionist creator

All right, you're right about that. I just didn't want to say it straight on that I believe that the Hammerites are similar to muslims in the matter that both sides are unable to comprehend why the general population of the world see their methods of spreading their religion and their definitions of crimes and methods of punishment as inhumane acts of hatred and murder. That's what I wanted to say but didn't want to say it straight because someone who hypocritically tries to defend islam without knowing what it is, or is a member of it might get butthurt.
But back to the subject that started this futile debate. (I started it :tsktsk: foolish trollish me) I still think that the Builder is real god in the same way that the Trickster
was an immortal omnipotent being.
Edit: Scratch that. Let's not discuss it anymore, it's off the subject too.

We've not gone of topic that much...
It's that blend of of religion and myth which rang so true in all 3 Thiefs (despite gameplay objections I think TDS sort of holds it's own)
And my hope for the future is that the storyline continues to show the struggle and Garrett is still the balance point.
(Hey maybe we go to comm chat and start a thread - "The rise of fundamentalist Islam is a threat to world order" - discuss) :laff:

Hammerites are gynophobic? errrrmmm ok.
I think all this atheist babbling of you two is part of some kind of awkward trend rising lately in the shadow of the "pretty atheist bus campaign". It's just another kind of an "en vogue" merchandise people fall into too easily.
It's pretty funny when a bunch of people (Atheists) say, they want tolerance from the believergroup of the population, themselves never getting tired of accusing religions of whatever crimes and putting in sentences like the one above.
I don't think believing is a question of sanity. True Islam is not violent, nor it is gynophobic, same goes for true Christianity. You confuse the religions with the things some people made of it in history to gain power or get money out of it.
But don't think I'm forcing anything on you, you don't have to believe in god... but plz don't tell me that I'm NOT SANE because I for myself decided to believe.

I would love to get into this.
But I think this may be the wrong thread.
One thing, maybe a big cultural difference here,
you say - quote "It's pretty funny when a bunch of people (Atheists) say, they want tolerance from the believergroup of the population".
Um, I live in a country where no one gives a damn if you're an atheist or not.
Look, if you want a nice debate on this, lets start a thread on comm chat.
Although looking at the archive it's an old road we'd be going down.
Anyway I'm Buddhist and proud, so I have my own archaic believe system (or user guide to this screwed up life ;))

Plus, the Hammerites are also gynophobic, just like muslims. So that's another point for them. :p
For all the ignorance talk you speak of religions you certianly are ignorant yourself. Hope you get banned one day. Wake up to reality you poor child.

This kid is really pissing me off. Clearly you don't even know anything about Islam except what the bias that you are bombarded with when you turn on the TV tells you. Or the simple hatred you from other people. The least you could do is Wikipedia it, the very least... I myself know plenty about Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. But that doesn't mean I believe or not believe, but so many people do believe. And it is this belief that has influenced so much through out world culture. simple phrases like "bless you" when you sneeze, or events like when Moses crossed the red sea to free his people. These are powerful things which would help you out a lot in the real world and weather you choose to believe or not is your choice. But at least KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. You may think that you have the right idea but when you start spewing non since hatred while clearly not knowing what you're talking about shows that, you sir, are a puppet and a talking piece for other peoples agenda. Go back to being a closest racist.

Please people, everyone has his own ideas about religion, and this is not the place to discuss them.

racist? HAHAAHAHHAHA! :laff: Islam is not a race. Why did you have to ruin a perfectly good argument against me by including that word? I have absolutely nothing against the
people of any religion.
But really this is getting old now. And the bias I get from TV is basically "Peace this and peace that" everytime a bomb goes off, not the other way around.
