We know, hence my use of air quotes.
Yeah, but I felt this topic could use some more indignation. Because all those cries of 'OMG they've sold out and gone console too!? The
BASTIDS!!!' have gone MIA these days.
I guess us PC gamers have either become complacent or accepted the fact that most dev houses are going to turn to consoles for profitability when faced with the current market realities.

I strongly doubt that an East European developer (with a strong PC-based background) would deliver an unoptimised PC version, so I would've thought that most people presume that support for AA, AF, 1920x1200, 1680x1050, 1440x900, etc. is a given.
Best not to be presumptuous and optimistic though, ie Left 4 Dead 2 announcement.
Well, I wasn't so much concerned about optimisation as I was about them pushing the envelope on the PC well past what's possible on the X360. You know, in terms of more detailed geometry and higher resolution effects rather than just resolution and AA/AF. But the question of optimisation is a good point, too.
Edit: And yes, before people point it out, I'm aware of the later Xbox port of the first game (I'm not counting Next Encounter for obvious reasons). Croteam were pretty much a PC dev first and foremost back then, though, I think you'll agree.

Could someone explain the Serious Sam thing to me? I played the original for a bit and couldn't get into it.

*runs in the room screaming like one of the headless enemies from SS*
I can't wait to see what the outdoor areas look like in the remake. I still find the graphics in the original quite good. Give us reflective water and real-time per-pixel lighting PLEASE!

It's kind of like Duke Nukem 3D. You wouldn't understand.

There's nothing to explain. It's not a game with hidden layers of complexity or anything. If it didn't put a big grin on your face within the first 15 minutes of playing it, it just ain't for you.

I played through the entire 1st and 2nd encounter in ONE sitting with my friend from Canada (co-op natch). We were on voice chat laughing ourselves silly for hours.
