It's hard to tell with him.
Apparently you've had an aneurysm since the last time I explicitly referenced the significance of your username.
Seriously, a Duke Nukem fan asking what's the appeal of Serious Sam is beyond surreal. They're both mindless, cartoonish shooters. There's not a lot to explain here.

Except one I had fun with and the other didn't really do it for me. Wow, what a fucking suprise, they're not that similar at all!

I love Serious Sam games! It's like Painkiller with a sense of humour! Definitely looking forward to this HD version!

I'm VERY interested in how this will turn out especially since I was searching for ways of resurrecting these games.
What do you mean by "resurrect"? Does the original game not install on Vista or something?
Xenith on 28/6/2009 at 12:55
I meant that I played it so much in comparison to other people I know. I always wanted to get to try the game and now I have a reason to do so. :)

Ah. Friends who are biased against old games?
I know a guy who basically refuses to play any game that isn't "recent"... once something is about a year old or so, he just isn't interested, regardless of whether he's played it before. I realised that trying to comprehend it was futile, so I don't bother.
Xenith on 29/6/2009 at 08:39
Yeah that's pretty much it, although maybe their not that biased. They just know it's old and are really put off from playing it, which is a shame really. That being said I do have one guy in my circle of buddies who plays games only once and them leaves them to rot on the shelf because he thinks there's nothing more to gain from playing them a second time (besides the fun, discovering new things and replaying cool parts, but those are insignificant, right?).

Shit, I have games I replay annually and have for years. I would hate being deprived of re-visiting some of my older games. Some are very sentimental to me.

Guilty as well, it is extremely uncommon that I play a game twice.

Philistine.
Like gunny, I can't imagine not playing a game at least twice if I like it enough. Hell, I've even dragged out my copy of Bioshock to install as soon as Stalker is done, just to see if I'm still pissed off at it.
