That seems like way too much effort. It's got unique artwork, unique voice overs, unique characters and documents. Definately seems like it's part of something larger, not like say Bafford's which is a simple enough stand alone thieving mission and perfect for a demo. No, I reckon they had plans for that storyline but something went awry.
