. . .
I knew that! lol Ok, I'm going to beg off on the excuse that I'm tired and mixing them up. Funny thing is I could see it when typign it, but it never clicked I was naming the place wrong.
Yeah. It was in
the Eavesdropping mission
.

I tend to think they are still alive, but have no control over their actions, and that's why they are suffering, whimpering, and crying. The second voice overlapping is eery. I don't know if one voice is master control and the other slave, or if something else is going on. In "Sabotage at Soulforge," on Expert difficulty (and "Hard?"), there are masked guards, too. They are freshly made to thwart your efforts, and there is blood running down their masks.

Without the *.wavs, I recall the voices were shivering from being cold and dead. The quavering in the voices when they say, for instance:
"So cold... so very cold...."
They are suffering from pain, grief, despair, and the cold. That's why they sometimes thank you when you put them out of their misery.
Aside from that, I wonder how they can talk at all with a cultivator and rust-gas container inside. Unless the weapon sits in place of the heart and there's a tube running to the lips of the mask that doesn't hinder the larynx.:erg:
Man, when I read that post. I got hives.... wow

Suddenly the plot got a lot more sinister!

Kind of a useless post, Ladytaffer...
I don't remember the guards, although it was a long time since I played through Soulforge... If anyone has a screenie, could you post it?

Speaking of sinister, you should see some of the servants in the FM Deep Trouble 2
Called the Sisterhood, a group of Mechanists who voluntarily became cyborgs and are wired to enjoy killing!

Just to be fair, this one is not the respected TTLG member "
Lady Taffer", but the one who started all those useless "Halloween candy thief"-threads.
