Personaly, I'd be pretty honored if I got killed by Garrett. I mean, it's Garrett. Mr. Badass himself. As soon as he backstabbed me, I'd just think, "Op! You got me. :laff:" Of course, as soon as I got to the afterlife, I'd watch him loot my house and think, "You could have just snuck past, n00b."

I sort of had a similar thought a while back.
Some jerk broke into my apartment WHILE I WAS THERE and started stealing stuff. He was really quiet and really careful, but the idiot didn't notice me standing so close to him. Luckily, he was a harmless little bastard so he ended up dropping everything and running off upon seeing me. I kind of admired him for trying, but honestly I was just a little freaked out by the event.

Think of me as the equivalent of an 18th century missionary, venturing forth and trying to educate the savages out of their primitive existence. I know this is only ThiefGen, and that a certain level of inanity (something like 80% of the posts, it seems) is tolerated here, but it'd be nice if we could raise the bar of discussion a little.

So go start an interesting thread analysing the society of the City, or an exploration into what makes an immersive first-person experience, or weighing up the benefits of Thief's minimalist ambient background vs full musical score, if you feel you want to bring intelligent discussion to forum. Be constructive!
