Well that might even have been more impressive than night one. The custom objects and people were so beautiful and cool and yet so numerous. I especially liked the dancing girl with the striped socks shaking her ass outside the pub. She was eye catching and both provocative and hilarious. The music was perfect for her as was her friend who stood there regally, doing a slow grind while enjoying the night air and a big bottle of wine. No doubt it was not her first of the night. All these parties were fabulous. I wanted to attend them all and take part. I think that's a characteristic of my favorite tv shows and fiction... I want the people and situations to be real. Take Star Trek for instance, every time I saw that intro I wished I was going along. I feel the same way on this mission.
The story of the little burrick and especially his mournful cries almost had me in tears. What pathos and what drama! I thought I was too late. It seemed as though all the other burricks were protective of the little guy. I had to knock them all out before I could get to my objective. This substory really forced me to think about where my burrick steaks come from.
A couple other things I noticed... "Desolation Row" from the great Bob Dylan song. And in the first night at the party the music from "Venus in furs" or something like that by Velvet Underground. "Shiny shiny, shiny boots of leather..." They have the live version of this on youtube. (banana version is closest to what you get on night one) You can see how the original dance worked in the live version. I don't know how many others I missed.
I did get screwed on the Ophelia thing. Even throwing her knocked out body onto the bed with the diary didn't give me the objective. Oh well, who cares! Great mission. I think someday these fan missions will be discovered by future people and embraced as great art produced soley for sake of telling stories and having fun. Then they'll be studied in colleges, movies will be made out of them. Scholars will try to learn about the personal lives of the people that worked on them and played them, try to find out what made them tick, how the missions related to life in this period.

This mission (night two) is too buggy and way too complex cause it didn't take much to totally break it. Neither the musician nor the woman gives me any loot, the woman just stands there near her burrick for the rest of the night, and the loot objective won't stay ticked off thanks to the bugs in the conversations.
And that daughter ophilieia or whatever objective won't tick off....I guess just carrying her there KO'd body back to her bed doesn't work, oh and apparently when I healed the two women at the church grounds, it didn't clear that both were healed in the scripting system because I healed them both with one arrow, so that objective won't tick off.
So all and all one totally fucked up mission and I have no idea why nobody else had these problems....(except for the daughter objective)
So where are these stupid buttons I read about that activate the convo actions?

Any chance you've got an outdated version of gen.osm installed?
Lady Rowena on 29/11/2009 at 15:44
I don't know what to say, since as you said no one but you had so many problems.
Just make it sure that you have "witch.osm" and "tnhScript.osm" in your Thief 2 directory. Gen.osm isn't important in this case, witch.osm took its place.
By the way, did you have any problems with Night One?.
Having used one HWater for 2 diseased isn't the problem, someone managed to use only one for 3 or more of them.
As for Ophelia bug, as I said she was supposed to return to the brothel by herself. But even if the player blackjacked her it shouldn't be a problem. The problem is just the trigger, which is not on her bed, but in the middle of the entrance corridor, downstairs. Maybe you followed a different route? You could try carrying her down there and drop her body in front of the fake door.

No problems with Night one nor getting the key from Basso at the end. As for the Opheilia thing, I thought her "stage name" was baby Jane, so I had just put her body and the book in the wrong room. That objective is now ticked off. Still, I checked all of the zombie bodies and all were healed and unconscious (probably), so I didn't kill any of them. Oh well just going to be sky that one objective which I consider complete and the remaining 500 I will also consider obtained.
On to Night 3!!!

This was a mission with very tricky secrets.
Usually, in other missions (original or FM), I finished with only 1 or 2 secrets uncovered, but without any effort to find secrets. I discover the secrets while I am playing and follow the objectives.
"Night two" was (from what I remember) the first Thief mission with no secrets discovered after completing the objectives.
I saw the window opened, but I didn't have the guts to try to shoot a rope arrow into the beam, because I thought that the slim guttering wouldn't allow Garret's standing.
And not finding any other way for accessing the room, I presumed that, maybe it's something from the Night Tree.
Regarding other secret, from the mechanist lab, I only had an intuition, when I entered the bot box. I asked myself: "Why wasting water arrows for deactivating the bot, and in addition, building a side opening for that room? Why did the author something that it's not connected with something from the game? Considering the fact that everything else is so well interconnected". But after a superficial short examination of the room, I decided to continue the run for the objectives.
Only after consulting with that thread I see that my feeling was right for the above 2 secrets.
Maybe if I would light the lamp (innovative object for Thief by the way), I would have a chance to discover the second one.
Anyhow, the third secret, even with advices from the author, I missed. But I only looked briefly in the sewers. I will try again today.
Very nice thing with the baby burick. It's so immersing to have an action (and a reward) based on something that it's written on a poster, from the regular life of citizens, without being a specified objective.

On top of the *front* balcony at Sir Giles :) (nothing there, of course)
impressive crowemagnon! I saw the balcony and tried to reach it (not to hard, just the usual routine during the run for objectives) but didn't find a way to jump on the wall.
I will try your method.

OH, wow, beautiful, gorgeous, exciting, what a mission!!!
I've finished the whole thing (with a little help on Night Three that I should have known how to do, but I had gotten so tired...definitely a head-smacking moment, to say the least)...and I have to say it's one of my top three favorite FMs of all time. "Ominous Bequest", "The Seventh Crystal", and "The Seven Sisters". Classic, A-ONE rated Thief!!
Just one question about Night Two: What are Brunhilde's hourly charges? And where is the key to her damn room? Did I miss it? ;-)

Get back to the brothel after you have done some other things in the mission (What exactly is required for it to change, I am not sure of. Destroying some "hearts", maybe?).

HI Mike, I'm sooo glad that you liked it! :D
And jiansonz guessing is right. If you return to the brothel after the
heart objective is accomplished you will find that something has changed.....;)
