In fact it's not like that:
if you do, Mrs Dowson dies of a heart attack and you faill the objective to not let any human die as a consequence of your actions. :)
very ingenious! And perfectly realistic scenario, consistent with the entire micro-story regarding the little burrick.

Hmm, I wonder if it´s OK with Mrs. D. if you BJ Pinky... Gotta try that next time.

I don't remember a successful blackjacking on a burrick ever. Don't tell me I could get rid of them so easily...

That´s standard procedure for me,
if it´s difficult to avoid them. I prefer knocking them out rather than killing them (I sort of like the buggers...). The problem is that knocking one out will cause it to make a lot of noise as it falls, which will often attract all the other burricks in the area. Needless to say, some nice perfect shadows are handy in this case.

I always try to blackjack burricks myself instead of killing them. :)
The other problem is that you can't pick them up to hide the corpse.....:erg:

Fantastic! I played Thief so long and never had any clue that I could get rid of them so easily... Ntz, ntz, ntz...
I must try this in the next mission I will encounter one of those beasts.
Tehnically how it suppose to be done: from behind, just like in humans?!

It can be from any direction, as long as you are not seen. Aim for the central part of the creature (~from neck to tail-base), as their physical model is not quite as big as it looks.

A bit of bumping, for two reasons:
- Just (almost) finished Night 2. Big-whoah. This is the kind of city mission I'll always thoroughly enjoy :)
- Been browsing this thread looking for a hint on how to get to the carpenter's, and saw some screens taken from various peaks in the mission... this has inspired me, so I gave it a try. Climbed almost atop of the Hammerite compound, aand turned my head... ding! Crash. But the view is marvelous, although somewhat distorted, for obvious reasons :)

By the way, I continued the rooftop walk and guess what - the dog behind the gate is actually empty pavement barking at you:

These kind of things still make my heart bleeding after all that time....:(
How come that in spite of all the barriers one can put to prevent it, some nasty players still manage to reach places that you weren't suppose to go?
The crash is just a deserved punishment! :ebil:
Well, at least you said that you are enjoying it...... :)

:D :D You should know by now, Lady R, that if "we" can think it we are likely to try it. I remember well when I was Beta testing the tricks us testers tried.
But then, that's one of the endearing qualities of THIEF. You can sometimes get "outside the box" by thinking outside the box. :)
