IIRC you can't get into Brunhilde room until you have destroyed the hearts.
Thanks Fortuni! I was finally able to finish the level. I always forget that dropping items can be part of the gameplay ahah.

After dispatching the 2 sisters in the brothel I can no longer frob loot or other items from the locked safes. I cannot get the wheel peg or read the book next to it. None of the coin stacks frob either.
Up to date with the latest Tfix and a fresh T2 install. No enhancements. I searched, but did not find this issue reported. Has this happened to anyone else?
I'm playing this FM again for fun and trying to do better than 15 years ago.
Where I am:
I just need to "cleanse" the zombie in the mayor's house to get all saved.
Have not yet saved the baby burrick, but I have the key and the butcher is knocked out.
About 1200 short on loot.
Have frobbed the shipwheel in the screaming cat basement room. Do I need to read something to trigger the quest to get the peg? I see the peg in the brothel safe, but I cannot frob it.
I have2 hearts. but not destroyed yet. I know where the 3rd is (Mayor). Not an issue.
Dropping the lover's book on Ophelia's bed does not trigger an objective, but does ring a chime.

My first suggestion is to make sure you have the latest scripts.

If you have the latest T2Fix installed (hope you didn't install TFix, that's for TG) you should have the latest scripts.
Sounds to me that your controls have gone haywire, go to your game options and change your 'use item' to some other key binding, test that setting before reverting to your original setting and all should be good.

Thanks for the tips. I'll try it out tonight. This was a fresh install to make a new FMWork. I decided to try 7 Sisters for fun. It was fine for night 1, but died just near the end of N2. I did not change the control options manually. No added "packages" or enhancements. Just new dark. Weird. Still a fun FM after all these years. Even if I cannot get it fixed, I still had a blast. :)

Don't know why but occasionally a key binding stops working with me, and yes often it's the use key, so no you didn't do wrong, I just put it down to glitchy 25year old engine.

I'm using the standard controls. I'll have to look to see if the “use” command is set to something strange or just blank. I did find that Creep” was blank by default However, I can frob and pick up the stone in the safe. but not the coin stack next to it. I may xfer the save to another new dark install and try it there. I had to do a full fresh install just to play RP's Cardinal FM. I'm using that install to play 7Sisters. Considering the Cardinal is buggy, it may have f'd up the scripts. Don't know how it would, but maybe
I find it strange though that a fresh install breaks 7Sis. Oh well. I still had fun.
New update: I opend and closed the safe door a couple of time and I was then able to from the loot and book. Played through and also complete night 3. The non from stuff happened with the fresh install and with one that is about 1 year old too. Same fix though. After picking open the wall safes, I had to reclose the doors and reopen. Funny.
