In chinese restaurants, you can mix menu items to make your dinner. The food is listed in "Columns" usually, Column A, Column B, and so on.
For the price of the dinner you can select items from each column. So you may be able to get 1 from Column A, two from Column B and so on.
It's an American Idiom that is used often to indicate multiple choices. :)

[SPOILER]If the thing i read in the smoke area is true...the spiders must DIE before the 7th sister dies...i forgot what it said about the red spiders but i can't hack em with my sword...I'll double check...later[/SPOILER]
