Hi Taffers & Taffettes,
I am one of the co-leaders of a mod team who are currently working on a new Thief-style game - Shadow:Source.
Shadow:Source is a new online modification based off of the Thief universe and using the Half-Life 2 Deathmatch source engine as it's core.
The main game type (of several but these are currently undisclosed) of Thieves Versus Guards (or TvG) will consist of a team of human thieves and human and AI guards.
You'll be taffin' it up in a variety of different locations, as thieves not only will you have to dodge the guards, but also try to avoid some of our NPC's such as servants, the dreaded spiders and many more besides that will alert, kill or take offence at your smell (you think i'm joking dontcha).
Also the game will have an array of weaponry and items, such as the all time favourite amongst evil-doers (such as yourselves) - The Blackjack. But don't think we're making this a total DM/KO scenario, ghosters cant rest easy knowing that we'll be letting them do their sneaky stuff.

Sounds good to me :thumb:. Wasn't there a Thieves VS Guards mod for the original HL as well?

Cool, and seeing as GarrettLoader can already handle Half Life 2 Maps it highly likely that it should quite easily handle any maps that may be made for this mod.

The original HL was going to have a mod called Guards Vs Thieves, the website is still online at 3dactionplanet, sadly their mod never got released.

It may not have been on there when you asked, but it is now.

More power to you.
But I don't understand the "smell" bit. Seems like after all the trouble a Thief takes to stay hidden, having a bath once in a while isn't asking too much.
I remember someone thnking that Garrett smelled because there is a guard that says "Eugh... what's that smell? Smells like... old meat..."
But if you listen to the ENTIRE comment, it continues: "...it can't be me... I washed 3 days ago..."

@ Ringer, it isn't the best for shadows when compared with engines such as Doom3, but for a thief style mp mod it's fine :)
@Domarius, I never heard the rest of that conversation :tsktsk:
Now a slightly off topic thing - :eek: MasterThief3 :eek: ive tried contacting you several times both in PM and email and AIM, and not a single reply:p You changed your aim or something?
