Yeah, I changed it a LONG time ago.
As for the PM's and emails, I'm not sure what you mean, I never got any from you since Dec 2002 (Thievery Days). Although if you sent messages to my primary mail address in the past 2 years, my archive got wiped last year from a freak server accident, and I didn't check it very often - But still, I don't recall getting any messages from you.
Anyway, speaking of Thievery, I've been so eager to get back into it. It feels like forever since I've played. What did I miss?:p

Is there any kind of time frame expected?
Sorry I thought i'd answered all Q's and then noticed yours
And in answer to your Q...
Yes we do have a time frame, currently we're keeping it underwraps till we exit our first internal alpha phases, however we will be posting a progress bar when our webmaster puts it up (soon) for each of our phases, so that you can watch as the mod grows into a playable game which we hope everyone will enjoy.
Also one thing I forgot to mention is that most news and items, such as screenshots, concept art, models and so on and so forth will be posted in the forums, and we have our own Developers Journal in which the development team will be posting sneak peaks of stuff only for registered forum members, as we will be keeping the main site uncluttered with only a few updated comments, for the moment as our priority at the moment doesn't cover making the best site in the universe (doesnt that give you a nice warm fuzzy feeling that we're more interested in making the game playable than having a good looking site ;) ).
Thought I better clear that up in case people were going on the main site expecting to see loads of updates and seeing absolutely nothing at all :D

Gobs of "us vs. them," deathmatch, kill everyone games/mods out there already. Thievery gave us multiplayer Thief, but to this day remains primarily focused on GvT. I've never comprehended how straight combat "matches" are the slightest bit fun, especially when it comes to implementing it with Thief, the penultimate first-person, story-driven game (yeah, that's right, I spent my 50 cents to license the usage of "penultimate" in that paragraph --oh crap, I did it again. That's gonna cost me...)
So, my one and only question, --and if the answer is yes, the game could suck and I'd still love you--, will it have multiplayer capability, and by multiplayer I'm referring to actually sharing FMs (coop play), not just bashing each other's skulls in? Seriously, I'd pay you; I want coop Thief that badly. :)
Sven Thief? :cheeky:

Chief, I wasn't aware you were still NAUC. And to think, I thought you were the leader of CoD

That would kick serious ass. So is that all Thievery really is? Just Deathmatch dressed up like Thief?

Hmm.
Well allow me to clear up the best I can. Maybe you played an early version of Thievery, but now it is really not like that at all.
Thieves vs guards is still a sneaking game for thieves, the main focus of the game type is to be just like thief. Thieves hide in shadows and could ghost the entire map while guards try to find them. The only difference here is the human guards aren't so predictable which adds a new level of excitement.
There is also a coop mode in Thievery which is just what you described, multiple human thieves teamed up against the AI guards.
You might be thinking of night-blade which is meant to be more action packed, IIRC.
Shadow: Source will have similar game types like Thieves vs Guards and a Coop mode is planned for future releases. Holding many of the same traits, hiding and sneaking in shadows, not meant to be a "run-n-gun".

I'm surprised nobody approached us Dark Modders about this. Just because we're not supporting coop play in Dark Mod doesn't mean it can't be used. It's supported by doom 3, so it would just require a team to get together and balance our systems to be coop friendly. Something I have said on numerous occasions and I will repeat it here is that the community tries to spread itself too thin when there are projects screaming for assistance. We're not exactly hurting, but we could definately use some help in the areas of creating static meshes, textures and props. Now we have yet another team, creating another entirely new total conversion that will require the creation of hundreds more props. If someone had approached us, I'm sure we could have worked out a deal to share/ exchange our tech...for viable content.

It doesn't
have to be that, but yeah, that's pretty much all it's really used for. I've never even seen a coop server in the lists. It's possible to play coop missions, but nobody's making any (and even new maps are rare these days, and you might see one or two new ones in a year, if you're lucky). Only two or three dozen "maps" exist to work with, and everyone knows them by heart. I think there's only one map that's up to FM standards, and most leave it off their servers because it's too big for GvT play.
Honestly, instead of recreating things again, --and don't get me wrong, I dig things like Thievery, Shadow: Source, and Dark Mod on principle--, it would be far more important to the community, and far cooler and useful, if someone just put all that effort into making a multiplayer patch for the existing Thief games. System Shock 2 has one, and it uses the same engine as T1, so I'm surprised that hasn't been seen, and a T2 m/p patch would simply rule, allowing us to coop all the old FMs, plus be able to have a steady stream of new ones to play. Yep, a T2 m/p patch would be my #1 choice, and I wasn't kidding, I'd pay for the damn thing. Considering the vast wealth of material already out there for it, and more to come, it'd be worth every penny.

Nope, other way around, actually. I'd been looking forward to Thievery for ages, but then drifted away from the forums for awhile and forgot all about it. It had already been out for a couple of years when I remembered it and began playing, but by then it had already run its course, and any coop elements had faded away. 1.4 (or was it 1.5) gave us a couple of new maps, but 1.6 came out recently and only included some fixes and removed a few exploits, no new maps. Most of the fan and "clan" websites listed were long gone, and any remaining groups were full of people that had gotten so good at it that you couldn't join-in without getting trounced in seconds. Speed seemed to be the key now, since everyone knew the loot locations and sweet spots. They've even got a ton of TDQ videos (Thievery done quick) that show people beating entire missions in seconds.
And yeah, I know GvT is still supposed to be sneaky, and it has a coop mode, but like I said, nobody plays it that way, and no real FMs exist for it. Most of the "maps" are designed for GvT combat. Believe me, I tried to make it work for coop play, but although the maps were fun, they were simplistic and only resembled typical FMs in appearance, not content (with one exception, as mentioned earlier). After a couple of months, that was it, we'd played 'em all, and nothing new was forthcoming, which is why I've been desperate for either a T2 m/p patch (my preference), or a new game that's focused on coop play, and discourages head-to-head, deathmatch style missions.
Every few days there are new missions posted online for T2. T3 stuff is starting to pick-up, but still is slow going, and T1/G stuff is fading away (occasionally something new, but mostly it's fading away), so the one thing that would change the landscape dramatically would be allowing everyone to play the massive amount of T2 FMs via coop (and I'm just reiterating the point, not trying to beat a dead horse.) :)
