Heretic was kind of crap. I'd be all over a new Hexen game though.

While I enjoyed Hexen, I definitely prefer Heretic. Hexen got frustrating quickly, whereas Heretic was more straightforward - it was just Doom with a pretty good dark fantasy setting and cool things like turning enemies into chickens.

I don't think the removal of the racism/sexism is going to go over really well with fans of the original game though.
Exactly. I won't play something that's been watered down to not offend anyone. I'm not very interested in the graphical bias of modern games anyways. I would only play it for more of the character Lo Wang, whose life-blood seems to be extracted in this remake.
Half the fun of the original was the silliness of the character's quotes and responses to events. Modern FPS's never seem to nail that "electrocuted cat running across velcro" feel that the original FPS's like Doom, et al had. I feel like I'm getting a pretty picture show more than playing a game.

Same here. Try the (

The original game's whole homogenising of multiple East Asian cultures under one umbrella made me uncomfortable.
This might be up Running_Wild's alley though.

You're one of those people who like to make horribly racist jokes and then tell people who get offended to calm down it was just a joke, aren't you?

So, Shadow Warrior represents
all asian cultures? I don't know how you arrived at that idea. But I find it funny that some people think that whatever makes them uncomfortable should be done away with, as if their egocentric notions that the world should appeal to their particular level of comfort. Here's a very simple option for you if you come across this in the future :
don't play it. Now, was that so hard?

Nah, I like a sense of humor and non-political-correctness in my games when it's there. I don't go around seeking it out everywhere. I know this is difficult stuff to grasp, that people can appreciate something without lumping themselves into a group. Nice try with your strawman though.

Just answer the question. If you're capable.

I didn't. Work on your reading comprehension, retard. I'll copypasta here since you're slow.

Who said anything about "doing away with it"? If you really want to experience backward cultural presentations from the '90s, the original Shadow Warrior is free on Steam in all its DOSbox-emulated "glory".

No, but I see you are.

Oh, you're not a child molester you say? Oh, I was just joking! Calm down! Relaaaax!
Nah, I'll pass answering your idiotic question based on the false-dichotomy/black-and-white thinking and safely assume you're incapable of answering mine.

Ad hominem. I'll accept your surrender and take that as your inability to offer a meaningful reply.
As far as what you actually wrote, you seem also incapable of understanding your own points.
"The original game's whole homogenising of multiple East Asian cultures under one umbrella made me uncomfortable."
I think the idea of homogenize is the word you're having trouble with. Don't use big words if you can't understand them.
For the second point, or non-point, you again seem to be unable to comprehend, well, pretty much anything. The game literally eliminated the jokes you state directly made you feel icky. You make a point as your central thesis, used euphemistically, and then retract it when it becomes inconvenient. Maybe you expect people to not point out your idiocy, but, welcome to life.
I understand you're mad at your parents for not teaching you any functional life skills or hitting you enough but please refrain from taking it out on other people. Go cry now.
