How do the Shadowrun Returns games compare to other CRPGs? I've got both of them on Steam but haven't played them yet, since I'm a bit RPGed out after Divinity: Original Sin (which I liked less than reviewers and most people) and Wasteland 2 (which I enjoyed better in spite of its clunkiness). Are they as long as those two games? Is the focus on combat or is there a substantial amount of character interaction? Most likely I'll only play them after Pillars of Eternity, but if they're shorter, more concentrated RPG experiences, I might fit one of them in before the big 'un.

Character interaction:
Main campaign - Half half
Dragonfall - Excellent
Both are combat heavy.

Backed! like many others, I thought Dragonfall was incredible. Second only to Divinity: Original Sin as the best RPG released last year.
They're over half way to their 10th stretch goal!

Not going to back this, just because I'm destitute, but I'll be picking it up via Steam as soon as its available. Dragonfall:DC is easily my favorite turn-based game since Fallout 2, and I enjoyed the hell out of Dead Man's Switch too.

Hopefully the final stretch goal is met (the 2nd last one was reached earlier today). The game REALLY needs an overhaul of the Matrix/Cyberspace stuff.

It probably will be; there's usually a last-minute surge, at the very least. I wouldn't be surprised to see this push past $1 million, though that's still well short of the campaign for the original Shadowrun Returns.

They'll be setting a new 1 million stretch goal shortly (got an email from them about it earlier today) about an extra mini campaign set after the main one for high level characters only.
They'll probably reach that one as well.

As a very rough estimate, a campaign makes 1/3 of the money in the first few days and 1/3 in the last few. This means it is reasonable to expect Shadowrun to make about 1,2-1,4 million.

And it's IN! :cheeky:
If they hit a million they're adding a 4-5 hour mini-campaign into which you can import your character (so, high level shenanigans).
