Vista + DX10 + Steam required though (LOL).
LOL indeed. When I was making my "Games for 2009" list I included SH. I kinda hoped they will drop that retarded idea...

I want in! I just watched the trailer and this game looks awesome. I always loved screwing around with the futuremark apps. I guess i'll know what an actual game of theirs would be like, I always wondered.
check out the trailer

That trailer is awesome! :D I love how there's (realistically) no sound.
I was reading(ok, listening to the audiobook of) Ender's Game recently and I though the zero-gravity fights could be made into an excellent game, so I'm very pleased to see this.

I thought of Enders game too when I watched the trailer.
It looks like they have expanded on the idea they used as a benchmark demo "game" in couple of their 3dmark releases.

Horribly cliche, meaningless title. Otherwise, nice idea. I assume by "Vista" they mean "Vista OR Windows 7." Otherwise, that's just stupid.

You know, I don't inherently disagree, but this raises the question:
what makes a good video game title?
Aerothorn on 29/10/2009 at 19:04
If you added up the budget of every marketing meeting ever held that revolved around that question...well...you'd have a lot of money. Yeah.
I actually spent about five minutes the other day pondering the idea of doing a Div III (my year-long final project- think "senior thesis") entirely on titles.
To answer your question more seriously, I'd say some good starters are:
1. It conveys something about the game. If you simply give me the titled "shattered horizons" and ask me "What is this game about?" I wouldn't be able to give you anything. "Psychonauts," on the other hand, gives you something to go on.
2. It stands out from the crowd. Grim Fandango fails test one, but succeeds in test two. Shattered Horizons, again, fails this.
3. It's thought-provoking or otherwise "captures" the consumer (similar to number 2, but not exactly the same).

Wow, that trailer really is awesome. And I can see why people thought of Ender's Game, too.
