Hopefully they do a single-player story-driven game too, could have some fun that way.

Oh Christ, not that bullshit again. It doesn't work.

There is no project, as it has ended centralized development, assuming one could call the previous work as being "in development."
Look at the source code. Last I knew, there are a few OpenGL calls in the library for extremely basic 3D operations. No shaders, no multitexturing, no vertex buffer, no index buffer, etc. You might get it to software render a custom coded "Hello World"-style basic 3D app using only a few rudimentary Direct3D calls.

Note the supposed DirectX comparison images mention nothing about being run on a Windows XP system.
The instructions are relying upon a Microsoft SDK that contains D3D binary libraries. However, the Direct3D 10 portion of DirectX 10 implements a new API approach and relies upon a driver model (WDDM) not even offered by the WinXP HAL. You can install the libraries, and perhaps even get them to return a version string if called. It is something else to actually run any appreciable level of code, especially with hardware acceleration.

It looks really original and interesting gameplay-wise but the fact that it needs DX10 sucks.

Well, I *was* getting some really nice placebo effect graphical improvements until you went and shattered my bubble and made me see that they were in my mind only. How I need to upgrade O/S :(

Been playing this close to a week now. I love it. It is rather limited in content but it's just so damn fun that it hardly matters. The (edit: second) gameplay video posted in this thread, while awesome, doesn't really do it justice. The actual game is more slow-paced and tactical. The jetpack is quite easy to use and will get you around quickly, however, firing up your jets also means you'll get spotted a lot more easily. I soon figured out that the best way of moving around is blasting off in the dirction you want to go, then turning of the jets and just drifting. This way the other team won't spot you easily and maybe just mistake you for some random floating space-debris. Then, when you're in reach you send of a EMP grenade and start raining firey death on them while they're disabled! Or, if you're feeling even cockier, try sneaking up behind them and meleeing(1 hit kill).
Here's a (

I also have 3 Guest passes(valid for 3 days) if anyone here has a Steam-account and a Vista/Win7 DX10 enabled computer and wants to try it out.
