On a serious note... surely self-documentation of this sort (as distinct from writings or other externally obvious behaviours) will give any new insights for early identification of dangerous sociopath tendencies by the mental health fraternity.
I knew the narcissistic Gen Y tendencies would yield something better than a photobombed selfie sooner or later.

Christfuck, it's guys like this that make me ashamed of my gender sometimes. I've been a very late college bloomer myself so I can relate to the frustration of rejection and inexperience, but that just pushed me to get over being a fuckwit, not hate half of the human population.
Sadly, I don't think it's that uncommon; I think many guys grow up with this fucked up women-are-goals kind of mentality that is perpetuated by some frat communities/PUAs/other social constructs etc. But then again, maybe it's just a justification - many other non-westernized socities have a rape culture of their own (sometimes even far worse).
The ironic thing is, what the PUA-type guys are doing is only exacerbating the problem they're trying to "overcome." By being creepers, they make girls even more weary of potential creepers, thus even more reluctant to talk to them, so in turn they turn to even more creepy techniques, and so on... It's like dating sites where the rejection rate is through the roof - not because of the girls being bitches, but because of the effect of guys being sexist/objectifiying/creeprs to them all the time.
FYI there's also the #yesallwomen hashtag trending on twitter about it (how I learned of the story) for those who want to follow that.

That's part of why I warn people strongly against getting involved in the PUA thing. While there are a few good dating coaches out there(Player Supreme is excellent, and good at de-creepifying guys.), they generally shun the label of "PUA" for a reason: most "PUA" types are scam artists. One of them was trying to coach after he slept with a single girl, and others were successful with women before they got into it and are just good internet marketers.
Most likely, this guy bought into PUA at some point...and then wasn't smart enough to figure out why the magic scripts weren't working, and got even more frustrated. The fact of life isn't as pretty as they'd have you believe. Guys have to eliminate their quirks, boost their confidence, and increase their masculinity before they can have success with women.
What really stands out about this guy, is that he'd retreated so far socially that he obviously had no real humanity left about him. His way of speaking is very robotic and very scripted.
Interestingly enough, Supreme did a video about this guy about a week before the shooting. Worth watching as he breaks down, in detail, what is wrong with the guy and correctly identifies why.
