hi there! I remember the last time I played Deus Ex and applied the single player patch, some of the quests became broken (the sending signal from roof top mission Simon won't send message to you) and JC got the new habit of running tip-toed. Do you run the game with or without patch?

I am currently running it without any problems with the latest single player patch (the one that came out
after all the problems with the first multiplayer patch). This patch also improves performance in D3D. It's available on (

If you don't play multiplayer, you should install the latest Single Player patch (the one that davpod mentioned). I still have problems with the latest Multiplayer patch, but not with the Single Player one. And to be honest, the multiplayer in Deus Ex isn't any good at all. IMHO :)

ahh I see. Great I will do that. No wonder I was having trouble last time, the patch I applied was the multiplayer one.
