Title. The most recent I've found is from 2011, and I was pleasently surprised with some of the results, plus the last decade has seen what I think are the best FMs ever created. So yeah, should we make a new poll? I'd love to see what "old" FMs climb the ranks, which people think it's best, etc

you could probably list it from size alone ,not saying there is not some great smaller fan mission but 9/10 times the bigger mission is better

my only issue is there is less then a handful of mission i never been able to play due to low end pc so,how would those rate when only the elite of comps can play them

the days of rating fan missions in my view is outdated as i love most all fan missions and when people only play higher rated missions some wont play some the lower rated missions and miss out on great gaming

most of us have played enough fan mission to know if it was good ,now if it got replay value is another thing,so then when you think about rating is replay value in the vote?

to many variables when trying to vote on a fan mission,i wont list just what i can come up with let alone others

i say play every fan mission and let each person decide what is good,believe it or not to beat every fan mission is not as hard as one might think once you understand how the author builds his missions/etc

my final thoughts on best fan mission is it would be personal to each person and might not really be the best choice

yeah downwinder is right. Besides now that I think about it, Thiefguild already has the start system which heavily skewes which missions get played, although the website is heavily biased towards newest missions. Now I'm not sure about the idea.

And honestly, the only reason I liked the idea (not so sure now) about doing another poll is because I was very surprised with like 40% of the ones that came up on top. I mean the FMs of Eternauta are no surprise, but a few of them I hadn't even heard about. I though that maybe a poll like that one could produce another batch of surprising results. We'd all expect to see stuff like Godbreaker or Feast of Pilgrims, but who knows what else could appear there.

With 1200+ missions available you'll never be able to produce one single winner of such a poll that most people would agree with, there's just too much choice out there, to many mission styles, and too many great missions that deserve to be crowned for one reason of other.

But if you were to break the 1200 missions down into more manageable sections, such as best mansion mission, best city mission, best puzzle mission, best thieves highway etc then you may be able to run some enjoyable polls.

But there are still so many missions you might even have to introduce other criteria, such as Olddark/Newdark, contest missions, campaigns, missions by year release etc and you would probably need to give voters a full list of every mission in each section be voted for, possibly far too much preparation.

I know, I've reorganised the mission by type thread twice now and I said 8 years ago never again, and I hope I'll never have to do it again.
