So, if the alien's a phallic symbol, and I'm pretty sure there's a piece that Giger did that had the alien featuring a hard-on, then it's basically a penis sprouting a littler penis?
Like the penis is actually some sort of homunculus which in turn has its own penis?

I always thought of the little thing popping out the alien, with all the teeth, as more of a clit.

Giger claims that he remembers what it's like to be in the womb, and that for some reason it still terrifies him to this day. and so his muse is the terror of claustrophobia he feels, and because birth was such a violent memory in his brain, then sexuality is terrifying too. So all of his art is some weird twist of enclosed dark spaces and sexual perversion.
Most of his art that I've seen usually includes tubes and machines hookedup to his version of people in all manner of nether-areas.
He's a werido. Just watch the interviews with him on the bonus DVDs on the Alien Quadrilogy.
My favorite piece of art of his is called Birth Machine, which features no penises.

Apart from the troglodyte ammunition have foreheads drawn to look exactly like a glans. I'm certain there is not a single giger picture without a penis in it somehow.

By that standard (and if that looks "exactly" like a glans then there's several serious malformations to the member), you're going to have a hard time finding
any complex image without a vaguely phallic reference of some sort.
