Actually, that entire post was just an excuse to have that picture at the end.
Frag, I don't see why you'd say that, really. Some of the characters may look slightly naff, but the rest of the presentation seems fine. And I haven't seen anything character-wise looking necessarily
worse than SH2, either. Unless you're talking about concept over actual design.

It's the cutscenes mostly, they look truly terrible. It's a lack of care I am not used to. If character models on a ps3 game don't look any worse then a 10 year old game I don't find that particulary redeeming. I like the game mind you, same old never gets old Chez Fragony, I am a complete atmosphere-fag and it has tons of it.

Its just not scary enough to be a silent hill game, doesn't make you shit yourself scared to carry on in some places like the earlier games did. It also seams more action packed, at one stage the game crashed because I had 19 dog corpses on the screen that were jiggling around due to bad physics properties, eg if its dead turn its physics off and not leave the physics on for them to jiggle, with 12 more dogs coming slowly towards me, thats a lot of dogs for a ghost town that was after turning off the generator to get into the prison. The other weird bug was if you shot someone and got an instant kill, the body would just disappear, but there gun was still hanging there in space.
A lot of the deaths seamed scripted, shoot them 3 times doesn't matter how much damage you do and they suddenly drop dead.
There was also that stupid gameplay mechanic that a lot of games now have, do something, get a reward for doing it, then spawn in so many monsters that it looks stupid. eg should I pick up the box of bullets cos if I do the games going to spawn 4 dogs in to waste the box I just got.
