I for one think that game could be improved with better voice acting and more inspired level design (I really only started to give a shit in the game's final area -- the rest felt "blah" to me).

Oooh, a remake of Citizen Kane would be awesome. We should get Micheal Bay to direct it too!
"rosebu..."
"What was it Mr. Kane?"
"rosebu......"
"I can't hear you, speak up Mr. Kane."
"roseBOOOOOOM!!!!!"

That'd be sweet.
Megan Fox could play Susan Alexander. Equally talented, too!
You know, I've never played Silent Hill. ...saw the movie. Does that count?

No.
God fucking dammit we already have a reimagining of Silent Hill 2. It's called Alan Wake.

That's crossing a line, remaking SH2 would be like trying to remake Eraserhead.
Fixed.
Hey, maybe it'll actually end up as a game this time.
Renzatic on 12/4/2010 at 17:33
As much as I like SH2, and totally disagree with your abject hate of the game, that fix is very much true.
I say just leave it be. The original still looks great even by todays standards, and the stilted voice acting actually helps the uncomfortable, off kilter atmosphere more than detracts from it. There's no reason to go and redo it. The game is perfect for what it is as it is.
Also this remake trend is starting to get ridiculous.

Ridiculous? Pfffft, we need more remakes, not less!
I can't wait for the remake of Starcraft 2... hopefully it will be out before the end of the year! I bet it will finally get the engine upgrade it deserves - with 4D graphics and stuff

Starcraft 2. The game so awesome, I bought it SIX TIMES.

Konami entered a competion with Capcom about the number of sequels of a title. They struggle for the 2nd place.
