^ It's not out yet. I think it's released with the PAL version of the Wii title, some time in late February.
NTSC version is out.

I just noticed the tags. Splendid work all around.

You don't have a Wii. You think that if it's not supposed to be a Silent Hill, you don't call it a Silent Hill. You think Soundless Mountain or Noiseless Knoll would have done instead. You'd try the game anyway if it actually came out on its original home platforms instead of migrating to the gimmick console of the current generation.
You look at the tags on this thread.

I didn't really play this (don't have a Wii), but I was in the same room with a person that played it and watched the whole thing beginning to end, while also giving some suggestions to the person that played it. The game is hardly what I'd call "well-written" and "challenging", sporting some logic holes bigger than moon craters in it's entirety. I don't think there's any need to elaborate on this, since if someone actually thinks it's a masterpiece or even "good" all I can do is face-palm myself and try not to think how deep in shit the next Silent Hill game will bury itself.
Also... tags.

PROTIP: It is on the PS2 as well...

The PS2 version hadn't come out when I endured it. Yes this was a couple of months ago.

PS2 version, eh? I might have to try this sucker out after all. Gimme a cold weekend and the house all to myself.

It runs ~ $20 in brick and mortar stores around here.

Came close to purchasing PS2 ver., but today bought Wii version. YAY weekend that I work 2 double shifts on and have no time to play...:mad::mad:
Oh, and I finally got those Wii Component cables (and PS2!) today. Nice improvement on visuals.

Finished this today. Excellent game. Excellent, Excellent game. THe psychological profiling is incredible. My other half was watching the ending, and the profile it gave me at the end was insane. It was me. I attempted to answer the questions as 'I' would and played the game normally, looking at, and doing things like I would.
Now I want to try it as a completely different soul and see a new experience. I already see that the characters' appearance and personalities change, as well as areas that are open to you. This game has a ton of replay, and I cannot wait to crack into it in a few weeks and see some of it it.
The nightmare sequences grated on me after awhile, and a lot of the scenes seemed strangely short. The game felt like it wanted to be about 4 hours longer, and it wouldn't have suffered for it. In fact, it would have helped flesh things out immensely. Oh, and it is absolutely GORGEOUS.
