Only had a brief scan so far, but it looks to contain loads of info on their cancelled games, earlier versions of their well known games, court cases and what-have-you.

Denis Dyack's huge ego was ultimately what sank SK. Quite a shameful and sad way for a once great developer to go.
Refusing to pay the license fees and "stealing" UE3 was definitely one of their biggest mistakes.

Yep, quite depressing. Reading this, it was an eye opener for me how they seemed to need a lot of help with every game they put out. I feel sorry for the talented people who worked there, what a waste.

Man, what are you guys talking about? I was trying to remember what games they made, and the only ones I could think of off the top of my head were Eternal Darkness (mediocre) and MGS: The Twin Snakes (Konami did all the important stuff.) So I looked them up, here's what they made:
Cyber Empires
Fantasy Empires
Dark Legions
Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Too Human
X-Men: Destiny
And those last two technically no longer exist as they've been recalled due to SK's hubris getting the better of them, not that either of those games were any good. The only thing they did that was even remotely worth a damn was Twin Snakes -- everything else is mediocre to bad and I really don't get why we're mourning the loss of a company that made mostly shit. If anything, their shutting down is a good thing because it might mean Twin Snakes will get an HD re-release like it deserves.

Fantasy Empires was a good game(the only reason I recognized the company name). I had Dark Legions but it wasn't that great.
Never played any of the others (were they mostly console games?), so really not much of a loss.

Oi, Eternal Darkness was fantastic! The rest is all pish though.

Eternal Darkness was the very definition of mediocre. Not a bad game, but certainly not deserving of the pedestal it's been put on.
The only thing SK ever did worth a damn was the MGS remake and anyway that doesn't really count since they only did the coding. So really, they've done nothing of great import whatsoever.

I can't think of another game, at least in the survival horror genre, that threw as many cool ideas at the wall as Eternal Darkness. The mechanic of multiple playable characters over 2000 years raises it above mediocre alone.

"Throw stuff at a wall and see what sticks," huh?
Too bad none of it did.

Well I enjoyed anyway. It was quite highly critically acclaimed too as I recall. Pity it didn't sell well, would be good to see it rereleased or HD-ified.
