This is the stupidest thing, and I'm embarrassed for having to ask, but why aren't my TrolPausePoints working? I was running a test on something unrelated when I noticed that my AI weren't stopping at the TrolPausePoints. The settings are below:

http://i40.tinypic.com/2laftxk.jpgWhat is wrong? Everything is set up right, as far as I know. What else could possibly be wrong?
I created the TrolPausePoints along the AIPatrol links and the AI patrol to the points and away from it just fine. Then, I added an AIWatchObj from the AI to the TrolPausePt, which gave the AI the default Watch properties. I tweaked those properties a tiny bit to be the same as another TrolPausePt set-up that I know works, yet this one doesn't. Changing radius and height and priority make no difference and all scripts are loaded.

Check the height off the floor for the points themselves. I had some that weren't working until I lowered the points. They worked as patrol points just fine up there, but not as pause points.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, after I tried giving them all a greater radius and lower height (6 and 4, respectfully), I don't see any noticeable change.

What Larry meant was make sure the TrolPausePOint itself is not too far from the floor.

If that doesn't work, try unchecking "No test once triggered". You may need to raise the Reuse and Reset delays to keep him from looping infinitely on the pause pt.

That was it! Thank you.
Silly mistake, to not notice how high the trolpts were. Oh, well.

Exactly what I meant! Thanks Haplo.

Resurrecting this because I now have a situation where I can't get an AI to pause no matter what height the TrolPausePt is set. At first I thought that the problem was because the AI was an apparition and as such might not trigger entry. But I replaced it with a mech sorcerer and got the same results. He too just tromps around the path without pausing anywhere. He is clearly going to the TrolPausePts, but at any height from ceiling down to floor, he ignores the AI > Utility > Watch settings.
Also, is there a way to slow down his walking while patrolling. His normal pace has him zooming all about.

You do know that AI don't automatically pause at TrolPausePts, right? The Watch settings are just defaults for an AIWatchObj link that you have to add either manually or dynamically at runtime.

:o
I did know that. And somehow blanked on it this time.
