Didn't Ubisoft patch all the UPlay DRM out of all their games recently?
They didn't. AFAIK, at least HAWX 2 and Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands are still fucked.

Yeah. I just did some googling and it's apparently still implemented. Shame. : \

Give it time. If the Death Star petition could get over 100,000 signatures, this could just as easily.
DEAR OBAMA WHO IS TRYING TO STEAL OUR GUNS, PLEASE FIX THIS GAME SO I CAN PLAY IT! I AM SO MAD AT EA I WANT TO KILL THEM ALL WITH THE GUNS YOU ARE TRYING TO TAKE AWAY FROM US!

I can just imagine Obama and Biden in the crisis room deliberating what to do about "the Sim City situation".

Probably a drone strike on EA headquarters or economic sanctions.

So, now I've played it a bit (servers have been up today) I've come around more to the idea of regions full of cities -each with a specialisation which can help other cities, rather than trying to cram everything into one mega-city. It's this element that helps unify the multiplayer, along with the combination of raw materials to built a great work, such as a space center, arcology etc.
Also, I love the ability to place arced roads. Curves are good:

That Viva Piñata experiment really backfired.
