hmmm... I picked up some candle sticks, but long before the message, say 2-5 minutes.

I do like this mission, but it does seem to crash. Ill try not douseing any lights and avoiding any conversations. But shouldnt there be something that can fix this annoying glitch?

Actually, the last few comments about the servant conv and torches may have given me a clue. The problem may be in Windows. If someone who's having the problem wouldn't mind volunteering to run a few tests, I could verify this.
Hi,
If its of any help then I can run a few tests for you. As for windows, I'm running Win2000 with SP4 on a PIII 550 with 256Mb and have a Geforce 2 card.
And for the record, you can trigger the servant conversation but you have to 'dispose' of the male servant before he gets near to the haystack.

This mission triggers Ambush on my copy of T2. (it's the mission that's played)
Halp.
Do you have 'starting_mission' set to something other than 1 in your 'User.cfg'?

Odd that... It's just a pplate. Maybe it has to do with the speed like the slow camvator problem some people with >2GHz have had.

Telliamed, it is indeed set to something else, Ambush, it's all unravelling now.

Telliamed, thanks for a great mission. Here's what I liked about it:
* Professional looking architecture
* Atmospheric music
* Good use of weather effects
* Short but oh so sweet
I had no crashing problems at all, luckily for me :)

Yeah, for me the first time it took about 2 minutes (seems like it)for the pressure plate to rise. After placing an object on the plate, waiting, and removing it again, it worked quicker.
Oh well. :confused:

How can I get the haystack-secret then, when you need the servant, but always when the servent reaches the small hay-barn the game crashes to desktop...if I blackjack him before, I can´t get the secret.
Any ideas how to win the game with all the secrets?

I will hopefully have a fixed tnhScript out this week. You will be able to use it to patch SimpleEnough and not crash.
PS. It's Microsoft's fault, as usual.

I played this one last week. It crashed sometimes, but when I reloaded the last save, all went well. So, no absolute worries for me.
I liked the filmmusic during this game. It really gave a "touch" on it. I can't define it. The secrets were great, although I think there should be a clou in any difficulty play setup
for the piano secret
. I really needed the forum help for that one.
I loved the game, lots of corners and passageways to remember. It keeps someone from becoming senile :ebil: Great memorytraining!
Just would like to have some flairs for the dark corners in the basement and arround some dark rooms. Now I had to play at night with all lights off. That wasn't a problem, but I couldn't find my keys on the keyboard quick enough in the dark, so the guards mostly had an advantage on me :erm:
All together: :thumb: a BIG HURRAAH!! for this FM-maker and all of them out there who enjoy pleasing us, taffers, with such lovely games!
I THANK YOU!
