I am having frequent crashes to the desktop inside the mansion, so unfortunatly it is unplayable for me, even with frequent saves. This is really too bad, because I think your architecture and the decoration are superb. I hope you can fix the problem.
My computer should be able to handle it: Athlon 64 3400+, Geforce 6800 GT, Audigy, 1 MB memory, Win 2k. Changing graphics resolution down and number of audio channels (up or down) has no effect. So I guess it is not a limitation of my hardware but some internal Dromed limit. That doesn't explain why some people have the problem and some don't.
One place that it always crashes is at the top of a staircase, following a woman servant with an orange key up the stairs. When I enter the room at the top of the stairs, it crashes. This occurs whether I am looking straight ahead or down. Places on the ground floor seem to work better looking down.
I experienced a similar problem, and so did many others (just like this case), with John D's mission, Deep Trouble 2. I could get through an area near a well decorated chapel only by looking down. I figured it was graphic complexity that was causing it. John D identified a particular model that was causing the problem, and he is in the process of fixing it. For details, I suggest that you go to the Eidos thief forum and contact John D with a PM or a post in the Dromed Designer's Corner forum. He frequents that, but he is in self-imposed exile from TTLG.

This was great, a grab the money and get out, Bafford style mission. I had no CTDs, it ran really smoothly on XP. Beautiful design too.
I was able twice to get the found secret notification merely by bashing the panel in the attic. I was then able to retrieve the money without using the switch.
An updated version of
tnhScript 1.5.1 is in the pipeline and should appear on the (
http://www.thiefmissions.com/telliamed/) website soon.
This script module can be used to patch Simple Enough, making it playable if you've been having problems. Extract the file
tnhScript.osm from the script package and replace the file of the same name in the Simple Enough download.

Telliamed,
Thanks for the patch!:D All is well now. It plays smooth as silk. I think perhaps even people who don't have an obvious problem might benefit from it, say, with improved performance or reliablillity.
I am curious to know what the bug was.

Excellent mission T!
I was also having ctd problems (suspect ATI user; not sure if that was actually the problem since my symptoms didn't align with the other posters), but the new scripts worked like a charm. Thanks for the fix.
It's good to know there are other Mahler fans out there, too. I made my way to the attic before I realized that I'd heard that background music before. I must've stood there for fifteen minutes trying to figure out what it was (The high violin phrase was what kept nagging at me). I'm not as familiar with that one as I am with most of the earlier symphonies, but that is a beautiful movement. Thanks for the reminder.

Very nice but small mission! I especially like the music and the frobbable gas lights. Thanks!

Enjoyed this mission very much.
Just one thing, how do you end the mission?
I've tried all the keys on all the gates.
Help.
Mary.

OK. Got it.
The gate key is on a book near the piano.
Lovely little game.

I liked the mission, it was a great house, the guards were not hard to dodge, but you had to be careful. The house decorations were great, also. :thumb:
A few comments, tho, that are not criticism, but just things that would make the mission much more fun for me to play, and maybe to be considered in future missions. :)
-The starting ledge, if you follow it around to the archers, has no way for the guards to get up there and down again. I did not see a ladder/ramp/etc to climb up or down.
-The archers were looking at the roof of the house, and could not even see the yard right below them. They could not really be guarding anything but the ledge they were on, so were sorta useless to the mansion's owner, and were only good for the atmosphere in the very beginning, and a waste after that. :weird:
-I was surprised that I could not close the secret in the attic, thus leaving a trail that someone had looted there. This can spoil, er, is it 'Supreme Ghost' that puts keys back, closes doors, etc?
-The mantle in the library is too high, or there needs to be something to stand on that will let me put the candlesticks back in place. I had picked up the candlestick nearest the window, and I could not drop it back in place while standing, and it is not likely I would spend time trying to throw it back into place, or similar things. I was not going to bring a crate in just to take the crate out again, for looking under one item. I was stumped as to how to open the secret door there, even tho' I could see there was a secret door (as the texture stands out). After this, I did not move the farther candlestick, thinking it was frobbable 'just beacuse', like rocks and flower pots etc. are. When I got stuck, I picked it up out of frustration, and the door opened. Heheh. .
-The joke book in the library was 'lit up', like I had targeted it, when I was far away from it. I had turned off the lamp, and it was 'lit' from anywhere I could stand and still see it's shelf.
Just a minor tho't - the downspouts were great, but there were no gutters for them to account for all that water coming out. :thumb:
Except for these small details, none of which are needed to finish (except for the non-closeable trap which foils ?Supreme Ghost?, it was a perfect mission! Details like these can make the difference, for me, and I think why missions like 7th Crystal are the best ones.
Keep 'em coming! :cheeky:
