This may not work for anyone else, but I finally got past all my crash to desktop events by not dousing any of the torches or gas lamps. Apparently, (and perhaps only on my grouchy system) the mission would crash as soon as a guard noticed that a light was out. I could do anything else - knock out guards, break windows, dance on the parapets, but if a guard saw one of those nasty, unlit lamps, BLAMO! :grr:
Otherwise, it was a perfectly spledid mission. :thumb: I hope I can play it again someday without my shadow.
Spot on observation - I get exactly the same thing. This Fm also crashes when the male servant wanders outside for the first time - after the conversation in the kitchen - and appears to start a search pattern near the generator at the back of the house. I tried this a few times, trigering the conversation and running outside to wait for him to show up at the haystack. happened every time

A New one! And Telliamed's are always good! At least I can download at all. My internet went down for like 3 weeks until it was fixed. Real Life sucks sometimes. *Cough* Downloading* :cheeky:

Only a few minutes in..and I love already! The attic reminds me somewhat of the 7th Crystal. The music is dreary, but that's a good thing; it very well suits this mission. Those new chests are great, too; they caught my eye immediately.

I was able to finish it by not letting any conversation happen. I left all of the torches lit too. Not one Crash to Desktop that way. :cheeky:
KO the archer in the tower first thing by sneaking along the ledge. Then KO the two servents in the kitchen by just charging in quickly.
Same here. Shame to have to do that though...

I wonder what is causing the crashes on some PC's. I made a clean install of Thief 2, DarkLoader, and this FM, and still couln't make it crash. It's not that I want it to crash. :p
This was really fun Telliamed. :D I hope you have another FM planned in the future.

Actually, the last few comments about the servant conv and torches may have given me a clue. The problem may be in Windows. If someone who's having the problem wouldn't mind volunteering to run a few tests, I could verify this.

This mission triggers Ambush on my copy of T2. (it's the mission that's played)
Halp.

This was a fun mission tellaimed,
Played thru last night, no crashes. running Xp.
The secret triggered
in the library by the window confused me though. I searched head to toe around the library but never found a switch or heard anything, I almost gave up when "found secret" popped up on scsreen so I checked and the door was open.
What did i do that triggered it? Why did you not use switches. I suppose it was part of a conv or something?
It was triggered by removing one of the gold torches resting on a pressure plate.
:)
