Hi, are there any "British Bobby" AI skins available..I tried the Victorian grunt pack ones but they have more of a continental look about them and would like the coppers with the taller hats.
I tried skinning one of those victorian ones on to the sheriff which was successful and then I tried a creature attatchment to a blackjack via the right fingers...unhappily though he holds it half way up the shaft and tries to poke my eyes out...can I get him to hold it properly and to swing it more like a sword...I tried removing the sword from a sword guard but couldn't do it.
Thanks chasps.:D:D

You could try the Renderer->Mesh Attach property and fine-tune exactly where the guard holds the blackjack in his hand. For the joint value you'd have to use 15 for right wrist, and then adjust the offset until it looks good. I think the DetailAttachment link can also do the same sort of thing.
To get the creature to attack as if swinging a sword, did you try adding the motion 'WithSword 0' and seeing what that does? (Though the sherrif already has that motion). If that fails, you can find a creature who attacks more like what you want, and use that creature's motions.

If you want a usable blackjack, you need a new mesh model which has it built in. If you are happy with an unusable blackjack, then you can rotate it in the link data, IIRC. I'm not where I can open DromEd and check, but I believe that's where it is, right where you specify the link location. Or you can rotate the blackjack model in a 3d editor, such as Anim8or, so that it ends up where you want it in the hand.

Ah, I see..well as I have no idea how to make a new mesh model or how to use animator I guess these bobbies will have to be unarmed.
Thank you.:D:D

as already mentioned, why don't you just detailattach a blackjack shaped object to the finger joint? the link will give you all the options you need to tweak the position of the attachment. I (
