I always rant about videogame mechanics and how they're more important than storytelling and shit
While it's true that a game doesn't need a story to have solid mechanics, and that no game will be saved by its story if its mechanics suck, you're still wrong.

Fair enough, I admit I was going for a cheap shot. I will comment more once I get a chance to play Skyrim, hopefully whenever I manage to build my new comp :p

God damnit is that annoying. As I recall in Oblivion you were at least able to push them slowly by walking into them.
Anyway, there is something that kind of works for Skyrim (aside from the Wait There command) and that's sprinting into them. Knocks them out of the way a bit and usually that does the trick.

MOVE AWAY FROM THE FUCKING DOOR /ragequit
Lol. That's been a problem in rpgs for a very long time. I remember getting stuck in a room in Fallout 2 due to something similar.
Can't you just walk into them, which causes them to slightly move? I used that in Fallout 3 to move npc's out of the way. Though its a different engine entirely, I know.

Er...Fallout 2 was one of the few games to put in a method specifically to stop doorway occupying NPCs. The right click menu had "push" for friendly NPCs specifically to get them out of the way.
At any rate, I agree with most of Koki's complaints, and the "But it's still fun" sentiment. But then I expected broken mechanics out the wazoo from the get go. Elder Scrolls games always have shitty mechanics. Skyrim is less broken then Oblivion, which was less broken then Morrowind, but it's still pretty bad.
Can't say I agree with missing Mysticism, Acrobatics or Unarmed though. But then I'd have removed the Alchemy, Blacksmithing and Enchanting skills too and replaced them with questline based enhancement instead of grinding.

Then if he knows, Yakoob's post makes absolutely no sense. Let's not start using double standards here.
Too late :)

Which was in direct response to fucking Ian getting in the fucking way all the fucking time in Fallout 1, I believe. Seriously, fuck Ian.

New Vegas also had a "move out of the way" command for your companions. Strange that it was excluded here.
