A few broken mechanics just doesn't do that much damage to a single-player RPG - especially the overpowered ones. It's already kind of a sandbox, so people can choose to play over or under powered characters and it's generally okay. It's only when you can accidentally damn yourself to an irreversible weakbuild that people get really upset, although it's worth noting that that seems to be present in these games, as well.
But the sort of fine-tuned balance issues that take the variety out of competitive games simply don't have that effect on single-player sandboxes.

Speaking of broken mechanics, does the "gain 5 levels in every dungeon" thing from every TES game and FO3 still exist? Being at the effective level cap 1/4 of the way through the game has always been a hallmark of Bethesda design.

This must be the most broken video game I've ever seen.
It's a Beth game, of course it's filled with a ton of bugs and weird design choices.
And it'll still be more enjoyable than most other games released the same year.

The actual level cap in the game is level 77 or so, and it's not a level cap per se, rather the level you end up at when all your skills are 100. I've been playing the same character since release, and I'm still only level 61. You'll only ever reach max level if you intentionally use skills outside your play style, and even then the skill points required beyond level 45 or so seriously slow down leveling.

GRAPES TO VENT
TO AIR
To...
whatever
Number 1: I WISH MY HORSE WOULD STOP LOOKING AT ME
When I get off my horse to stealth ahead and snipe some wolves it would be handy if the visibility-indicator wasn't lit up because MY HORSE IS LOOKING AT ME!
#2: It's really hard to tell if random people you run in to in the wild will be hostile.
I don't wanna have to run up to them and tap them on the shoulder to see whether they're friendly or whether they're gonna try to kill me.
Umm... I had some more things to complain about as well but I can't remember them right now. Will come back here and bitch some more the next time I'm playing the game.
