This free game has been popular on the net over the last few days, it's simple but pretty damn unnerving and freaky to play through (at least it was for me). Based on the whole "(
http://www.mythicalcreaturesguide.com/page/Slender+Man) Slender Man" thing, it's a 3D game built using Unity. The main site's been down due to excessive traffic, but I put it up on Southquarter for anyone here who wants to grab a copy and play.
Might want to put your Depends on first though.

Played for five minutes, late at night. Was doing fine 'til Slender himself showed up and started coming after me.

Interesting, I got 4 out of 8 pages, before he *got me.* Damn the character gets winded pretty easy, couldn't run far without him getting winded every few seconds. Walked into this building, with a long corridor, I knew I shouldn't have, but I did. That's where he got me. I chickened out and turned down the sound. :p
Darkness and all that it holds, is the stuff that makes me jump the most.

Nice! I can finally talk about lenderman on TTLG!
...which is that thing that got played out to the point it's not even remotely scary anymore. I kinda got into the whole Youtube video series phenomenon a few months back, and came to realize that they all suck more than a little bit. They explain too much, pile on all kinds of extras culled from Creepypasta, and all have this cheesy fanfiction vibe going on with them.
Hey guys! Slenderman is totally a monster from ancient Egypt called to Earth by this cult that's totally meeting in our backyard! ISN'T THAT CREEPY? Also, here's The Rake. That was a scary story that I liked, so it'd be great if they totally teamed up in, like, some kind of comic book crossover type deal! Also I say "fuck" and "shit" a whole bunch, cuz I'm tuff.
But there is one exception. The original. Marble Hornets. Though it's lost a bit of it's edge over the last year and a half, it still has it's moments.

MH is pretty cool. I keep forgetting it's still going. Certain conveniences about it build up though, like all these young people who have disappeared for years at a time and no one is looking for them. They never seem to run out of money either. There's this horrible skinny Hitman guy thing following them around that buggers up electrical equipment, which they have all seen, and no one ever talks about it. Not even in a 'he who should not be named' way.
No conveniences a lot of youth horror hasn't employed before, however. You just start to notice after a while.

It doesn't work for me, logo displays and black screen. Test this in windowed mode first. Fullscreen freeze won't release. I read a few posts of this problem, no solutions so far.
I'll have to look at some Youtube Lets' Play videos but it won't have the same 'poop my pants' effect. :p

Anyone outside the UK, uh, sorry? :p
Why would anyone outside the UK not be able to listen to a podcast on a UK website? Worked just fine for me here.
